The weather was glorious when we arrived here in the south of France last Monday. The weather since then has not! Mostly cloud accompanied by drizzle and yesterday proper rain. So much so that I moved the hire car away from a potential flood area. It didn’t but it has recently so….
Today though promised sun and although it didn’t arrive till much later it was brighter and it was relatively warm. So we headed out to a lake around 40 minutes drive and took a picnic with us. The car park and surrounding area was muddy, but much of the lakeside area was relatively dry. Just the water level was higher and the area that had been a beach was underwater. There were lots of other people out for a Sunday stroll and some like us brave picnickers!
Afterwards we took a stroll and managed this quick flash in some brushwood near the lake. People were walking towards us as G took the photo. We’re here for another week and can only hope for more opportunities for a quick flash in the French outdoors.
