Last spring we were lucky enough to see the real painting, The Kiss in Vienna. Alongside many other of Gustav Klimt’s other paintings. It was an amazing experience, only partly spoiled by the whole tourist element of people getting selfies taken in front of The Kiss and then pretty much walking out. The Belvedere museum is a wonderful place inside and out and contains so much history of Vienna and Austria, not just the one painting. If you are ever there, it really is worth the time, effort and money.
I have a print of this and a couple of other Klimt paintings here in our bedroom in France. This one sits over the bed. Quite fitting, I think.
